The infrared rays used by the Super Sauna are the same invisible light wavelengths generated by the Sun. They provide stimulating warmth, but are not visible light. These light waves penetrate the body to generate warmth from the inside out. As your core temperature rises and molecules of moisture are liquefied, this causes your body to naturally sweat. The increased natural sweating allows your body to excrete and flush through the sweat glands the built-up toxins and poisons stored in cells, tissues, organs and systems of the body over a lifetime. At the same time, the therapeutic infrared waves can soothe aching muscles, re-condition cells and tissues, promote healing and rejuvenation, while the increase in metabolism can help to eliminate excess calories, eliminate fat, balance weight and improve the function of the cardiovascular system.
With steam saunas the heat is generated in liquid form, which forms steam as it is heated. Breathing in hot, moist, steamy air can be very uncomfortable for many people and damage soft tissues of the lungs and respiratory system. The use of infrared technology reduces this problem, providing a drier, more comfortable environment while still allowing you to work up a sweat. Having this hot air contained in a confined area (sauna box) can still cause respiratory stresses and should be monitored closely.
Absolutely! Because infrared rays are not absorbed by metal, there is no problem with medically implanted pins, rods or artificial joints. If you have any questions about your specific health issues, you should consult your doctor before using a sauna.
Generally speaking, we recommend that you begin slowly and consider your current condition(s) and progress steadily. Most people limit a single session to 10-15 minutes in the beginning, although some people push that up to as many as 20 to 30 minutes, depending on their beginning condition(s). Even with the lack of humidity and coolness of fresh room temperature air, you will still work up a sweat from the inside out and it is important not to over-tax the body in the beginning. After your session, you can walk slowly while sipping on water and the body normalizes usually within 20-30 minutes. These sessions can be repeated multiple times in a day depending on your current condition and how consistently you have done regular sessions.
You should probably take a shower to rinse your body and remove any residue of eliminated toxins. You can then apply a natural moisturizer to prevent your skin from drying out. Also, remember to shampoo your hair to get any sweat and toxic residues off of it as well. Always stay hydrated by sipping water before and after a Super Sauna session (one mouthful, or 3 swallows, every 5-15 minutes throughout the day).
There is no limit as to where you can install this unit (takes up a corner of a room). The unique horseshoe shape lets it fit comfortably into a corner without taking up excess space, but you can literally install it anywhere. It can make it’s own room by turning it facing a wall and pulling it out approximately 2 feet...put a chair or stool on each corner between it an the wall...one for a towel and the other for clothes...you can put your clothes on one stool, do a session, dry off, put your clothes back on and you’re done! Simple, Quick, Easy! Works Every Time!
Less is best. To start you can wear anything you like, though usually lighter weight clothes in a breathable fabric are more comfortable. Because the Super Sauna is transmitting and targeting the beneficial, healing, and therapeutic Energy Infrared waves, it is most desirable that nothing interfere, inhibit, or obstruct the benefits direct to the surface and important areas of the body.
Children can get the same type of health benefits from infrared. Hospitals all over the world use infrared to stabilize and keep “preborn babies” alive. Extra caution should be taken as children’s metabolism is naturally faster and so their temperature will rise more quickly than an adult. The general rule of thumb for children is one minute for each year of age and children should never use a sauna unattended, or without a signed waiver of liability from the parent or guardian.
One of the many advantages of the Super Sauna is the ability to cut heating time in half. Unlike traditional saunas, which take as long as 30-45 minutes to reach maximum heat, the Super Sauna only needs about 10 minutes. This makes it much more convenient to use as you don’t have to wait around forever to enjoy your sauna therapy.
While energy costs vary from one geographic location to another, in general the cost of running a Super Sauna is like running a clothes dryer or a kitchen oven for a similar period of time. So not only does the Super Sauna allow you to save time, it lets you save money as well.
While the Super Sauna can obviously provide many health benefits, from improving the look and feel of your skin, to helping you burn off excess calories, to improving cardiovascular health, it is always wise to proceed with caution and in proportion to your physical capabilities at the time. If you have any existing health conditions, or are pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult with your doctor before using the Super Sauna.
